Brief Biography

Dr. Wesam Ahmed Al Madhoun is Assistant Professor of Environmental Engineering at the Islamic University of Gaza in Palestine. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Islamic University of Gaza, and his Master of Science and PhD in Environmental Engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Dr. Wesam’s experience includes working with national and international organizations in the Gaza strip in the field of Environment and Development. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology, UTM.

Dr. Wesam is researching the benefits of trees and green spaces on traffic emissions and micro-climatic changes along major roadways in Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru.
