Brief Biography
Dr. Nor Aishah Saidina Amin is a Professor of Chemical Engineering. Her expertise includes applied catalyst, reactor and reaction engineering and reactor modeling. She earned her PhD from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago; her Master of Science from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), UK; and her Bachelor of Science from California State University. She is Head of Chemical Reaction Engineering Group at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, UTM. At UTM, she was appointed as the Head of Chemical and Biotechnology Cluster (2006), and Deputy Dean of Research and Graduate Studies (2007). Dr. Aishah has held visiting professor appointments at Helsinki University of Technology and more recently at EPFL, Switzerland. She has received research grants from several agencies including the Malaysia Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation; Malaysia Ministry of Higher Education; and Exxon-Mobil. She is extensively published and is the recipient of the 2013 Top Research Scientist Malaysia Award.
