Brief Biography
Dr. Choong Weng Wai is a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Geoinformation and Real Estate at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, where he received his PhD in Facilities Management in 2008. His research activities focus on measuring environmental awareness and fostering pro-environmental behavior among communities. Dr. Choong has been appointed as an advisor and trainer for multiple industry and government agencies, including the ASEAN Energy Manager Accreditation Scheme (AEMAS) and the Accreditation and Certification Committee for the Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Malaysia (BOVAE). Since 2009, he has been involved with the technical committee of Malaysia’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (NRE) to establish an Environmental Performance Index for Malaysia.
