Brief Biography
Dr Akindele Oluremi Akinropo Ph.D, MNITP, RTP is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. He obtained Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Masters of Technology (M.Tech) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degrees in Urban and Regional Planning. He is a Corporate Member of the Nigerian institute of Town Planners and a Chattered Town Planner. He has invested about ten years of intensive study, training and research in the area of urban design and environmental management. He has authored many journal articles, chapters in books and other publications both domestically and internationally.

A Comparative Analysis of Shopping in Putrajaya and Bukit Indah, Malaysia
The study investigates shopping characteristics in Putrajaya and Bukit Indah, Malaysia. The physical, environmental, spatial, and land use characteristics as well as shopper’s satisfaction were appraised in order to develop policy options for sustainable shopping in Malaysia. A structured questionnaire that investigates malls imageability and shopper’s satisfaction were administered to 250 respondents using a random systematic approach. Both road and land use maps were used for sampling, the accessibility assessment and land use analysis. Participant observation was also completed. The study suggests a meaningful land use arrangement pattern, best practices in terms of design, and environmental factors that attract shoppers in order to promote sustainable shopping in cities and develop an individual, regional and national economy.
