As part of the Kawan Iskandar Malaysia Programme, a program aimed at enhancing the participation of rural communities in the economic development of Iskandar Malaysia, students from MIT were  invited to  the launch of the Kampung Sinaran Baru Agro- Tourism Project.  They enjoyed learning and experiencing traditional and rural pastimes, food, and culture.
